FOUR pensioners were taken to hospital following a collision in Preston Old Road, Blackburn, near the junction with Pleasington Road at 9.30pm yesterday.
Matthew Beswick, who was driving an Audi A6, was in collision with a Vauxhall Corsa driven by Joan Carpenter, 68, of Mill Brook Close, Wheelton, who was carrying three passengers .
Maureen Gregson, 57, of Spring Crescent, Whittle-le-Woods, Eileen Donbavand, 75, of Holly Close, Clayton-le-Woods, and Doris Mather, 67, of Canterbury Street, Chorley, were taken to Blackburn Royal Infirmary all suffering from whiplash.
