STUDENTS Caroline Traill and Leanne Ward have made the transition from college friends to business partners after opening a health and beauty salon in Accrington.
They studied together on a three-year beauty therapy course at Accrington and Rossendale College, leading to an NVQ level three qualification.
Amazingly Caroline, 20, and Leanne, 19, only decided on the venture eight weeks ago, and yesterday they opened Serenity, above Mirage Health and Beauty, Whalley Road, Accrington, with a diary full of bookings.
"It feels really weird, as if it's not ours, we only started decorating it two weeks ago. I'm excited," said Caroline, of Hapton.
Leanne, of Peel Park Close, Accrington, said: "My cousin Lorraine told me the room was coming up for rent and asked if I would like to take it on. I mentioned it to Caroline and we said we would do it together."
It will open from 9.30 am from Tuesday to Saturday, with late closing most days, and by appointment on Monday.
