RESIDENTS of Bacup's Pennine Road estate will be quizzed over the future of a piece of land on Hawthorn Road.
The area, formally occupied by houses now demolished, was identified in a planning for real event as an area of concern.
Bacup Pride Community Action Group and Groundwork Rossendale are working together with residents to determine its future.
Funding has been secured from the Countryside Agency's doorstep green programme to carry out the consultation.
The programme aims to help develop open spaces for communities to play and relax and could lead to more funding.
Anyone who wants to have their say can attend the Sunnyside Centre in Pennine Road on Wednesday from 7pm.
After a short discussion there will be a walk around the land. Everyone who takes part will be entered into a free prize draw to win a gift voucher.
