DONATIONS continue to flood in to support the Country Show in Ramsbottom, organised as part of the Golden Jubilee Festival.
The show will be staged on June 3 in Nuttall Park but a failed lottery bid left organisers hosting events and appealing for donations to ensure the event could go-ahead.
This week organiser Linda De Ruijter received £500 from TNT and will be hosting the Made In Ramsbottom Exhibition at the Civic Hall on May 31.
An event at the lifelong learning centre in Bolton Street raised more than £230, thanks to help from the RNLI.
Balloons costing £1 are being 'sold' and will be set free during the show and there is a Golden Jubilee quiz with quiz sheets on sale at 50p.
Tomorrow there will be a kids fun day at the Railway Hotel at 1pm with proceeds donated to the show.
The town is already hanging out the red, white and blue bunting in time for the jubilee events which include a visit from the North West Sound Archive on June 1 to Ramsbottom Heritage Centre.
Also on June 1 the ladies group at St Paul's Church in Bridge Street will have stalls from 10.30am to 3.30pm and from 8pm the Sounds 18 Big Band will be playing at Ramsbottom Civic Hall.
