A NEW plan to redevelop Nelson town centre and encourage more businesses into the town is to go out to public consultation.
Since the fire and subsequent demolition of the former Grand Cinema almost two years ago the town centre has been blighted by a major eyesore.
Councillors are now hoping that they will be able to redevelop the cinema site into a new civic space or town square.
Pendle Borough Council is to appoint consultants to undertake designs and to get public views on how they would like to the site used.
