A NOSTALGIC look at the lighter moments of war-time Britain is coming to Darwen Library Theatre.
Tivoli Presentations will stage 'We were in the Forces' on June 20 as part of a national tour for the Somme Festival.
There will be laughter, gaiety, music and songs of the First and Second World Wars as the 'Battle of the Somme', one of the bloodiest of the 1914-18 conflict, is commemorated.
East Lancashire pianist and arranger Colin Hilton will lead the orchestral accompaniment while 'Major' Roy Chappell and Steve King perform songs with a number of special guests.
The event starts at 2pm and tickets cost £4.50. To book call 01254 706 006.
