CLITHEROE A recorded a convincing 14-4 away victory against local rivals Rishton Sharks in the Lancashire Pool Interleague.
Starting in positive mood, the visitors potted their way to a 5-0 lead thanks to wins for John Birbeck, Roger Hope, Tony Clough, Mark Holmes and man-of-the-match Simon Eaton.
Further victories for Craig Whittaker, Alan Gudgeon and Carl Drinkwater, left the Sharks facing an 8-1 deficit at the interval.
With Eaton executing a magnificent seven-ball clearance directly after the break, the Ribble Valley side pressed for victory.
And with Gudgeon, Hope, Birbeck, Holmes and Drinkwater completing the rout, it was the Sharks who were left to nurse their wounds.
