KILLERS of a father of three, who was gunned down at a local drugs den, remain at large.
Detectives are continuing with their inquiries into the death of Rupert Satchell who died during the early hours of last Thursday (May 23) when he was shot at a house in Goldfinch Drive on the "Dicky Bird" estate.
Two men are believed to have burst into the property, known by police and local residents as a drugs haven, and opened fire on the 42-year-old. Police were called to the house, which was not Mr Satchell's address, at 3.15am on Thursday.
A post mortem was carried out on Friday which confirmed Mr Satchell had died from a gun shot wound to his chest.
Police sealed off the house and surrounding streets as forensic experts searched the property for evidence and detectives launched a massive manhunt to find the killers.
Detective Inspector Jane Antrobus said yesterday (Monday May 28): "We have a large team of detectives from Bury working on the murder."
Officers are still keen to speak to anyone who may have seen or know Mr Satchell's killers. Anyone who can help should contact the incident room on 856 8336 or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
