A TEENAGER who died after an incident in a nightclub had been out celebrating a friend's 18th birthday, it has been revealed.
A doorman and his son appeared in court yesterday charged with the murder of Gavin Tattersall, 18.
Mr Tattersall, of Cambridge Drive, Padiham, died after an incident in Churchills, Cannon Street, Accrington in the early hours of Sunday morning.
Ian Britcliffe, 42, of John Street, Clayton-le-Moors, and his son, Christopher, 21, of the same address, are charged with murdering Mr Tattersall and an alternative charge of wounding him with intent to cause grievous bodily harm.
Another doorman, Kenneth Halstead, 41, of South View, Haslingden, is charged with wounding Gavin Tattersall with intent to cause him grievous bodily harm.
All three were remanded in custody to Preston Crown Court where they will appear for a preliminary hearing on Wednesday.
The court was told Mr Tattersall had been at Churchills celebrating a friend's 18th birthday.
The teenager had lived at home with his stepfather Sean, mum Yvonne and sister Toyah.
