STUDENTS at a Pendle special school were celebrating yesterday after making and selling 2,749 Jubilee badges to businesses and schools.
Teenagers at the student centre at Townhouse School, in Nelson, produce badges each year for various events but were overwhelmed by the amount of orders they received when they decided to create Jubilee badges.
To celebrate their efforts, the post 16 students had a jubilee meal where they were each presented with a Jubilee mug. Teacher Brian Chapman said: "We finished the last order this week. They have gone to a lot of local business but also to Cumbria, Birmingham, York and even Central America."
