TEN year-old Chloe McClean had a big surprise when she was named a borough's most remarkable pupil.
The pupil of St. Barnabas' Primary School, Knowlesley Road, Darwen, had no idea she had won the award presented by the Soroptimist International of Blackburn.
School staff nominated Chloe for the award as she leaves for secondary school soon. They wanted to pay tribute to the way she has lived life to the full, despite being severely visually impaired.
