THERE was a party atmosphere at Bury's Re:d Centre on Thursday (May 30) as it celebrated a successful first year supporting disabled children and their families.
The birthday fun kicked off at 6pm at the project centre in Morley Street, Bury, and featured an African drumming show performed by the Takalani Dance Theatre.
The Re:d Centre offers advice and assistance to disabled children and their relatives and since its launch a year ago, has worked with more than 135 families.
Its facilities include a respite care service, a play scheme and youth project, and drop-in centre.
Project manager, Nicola Forshaw, said: "It's been a fantastic 12 months for us. The first fully operational year at the Re:d Centre has been a very exciting time, with many new families using our services."
