IT'S Parkside partytime as patriotic residents in one Radcliffe street celebrate the Queen's Golden Jubilee.
And the menu planned for the 130 guests taking part in the party at Parkside Close on Monday (June 3) certainly has a royal flavour to reflect the big occasion.
For dishes to be served include Coronation chicken, Buckingham bake, Harry's hotpot and Charlie's chilli.
Main organiser of the event, which will unite the whole street, is Mrs Colette Jones.
She has been successful in securing a £1,900 grant from Awards for All on behalf of local residents.
She explained: "We had asked for money towards the party and for new equipment for Close Park.
"We didn't get the Jubilee money. But we received £1,900 towards the equipment. It will fund a new swing and three new benches as well as a community artist."
Mrs Jones added: "Out of the grant, £400 will be for the community artist. He will be available next Monday and later will work with the children of the Close. We hope he'll help the children create a picture of the party which we'll either give to Bury Hospice or the art gallery."
To pave the way for the Jubilee celebrations, Parkside Close appointed a committee of 20 to plan the whole event.
Youngsters at Rascals Children's Day Nursery, Ainsworth Road, and Radcliffe Infant School will be celebrating with their own parties today (Fri May 31).
Withins residents are planning a street party in Wellington Street on Monday (June 3).
