POLICE in Nelson are appealing for information after burglars smashed a hole in a wall to get into William Hill bookies, in Barkerhouse Road.
DC Ruth Chew, of Nelson CID, said: "They got in through the hole in the extension but no property was stolen. We are asking anyone who heard or saw anything to contact us because they would have made quite a lot of noise to smash a hole in the wall big enough to climb through."
The incident occurred between 4.30pm and 6.30pm on Tuesday. Call Nelson CID on 01282 472644.
