A BURY telecommunications firm will be celebrating whatever the final score when England play Argentina next Friday (June 7).
This is because Salford Street-based Pennine Telecom is heading the Get Stripped for England campaign to raise thousands of pounds on the day to help local children in crisis.
The firm is sponsoring the North West-wide fund raiser in conjunction with radio stations Rock FM and Magic 999.
Supporters will go to work or school on match day wearing an England shirt or their favourite football colours, putting their hands in their pockets to pay £1 or more for the privilege.
More than 8,000 registration forms have been sent out to schools and businesses across the region which will get a mention on radio next Friday if they take part.
Pennin's 100 staff will be heading the campaign by "Getting Stripped",
as managing director Ian McPherson, a football fan himself, has given the go-ahead for them to join in.
Ian said: "Children, such as those suffering from neglect, abuse, disabilities or in need of extra care and guidance, will benefit from the money raised. So, we are hoping for a world class response to the North We's own Getting Stripped for England fund raiser."
