BY day Danny Smith pounds the roads of Britain in his heavy goods lorry.
But at weekends he takes to the skies as one of the country's leading free-fall paracutists.
Danny, of Tyldesley Road, Hindsford, has recently reached a major landmark in the sky diving world by completing his 2000th free-fall jump.
What started as a bit of fun for charity 16 years ago has become a consuming passion for Danny, 44, who is now an experienced instructor ar the Black Knights Paracute Centre based at Cockerham Moss near Lancaster.
