EMPLOYEES at Britain's best known brassware distributor based in Leigh went on a family outing to the seaside.
Peter Geoghegan, managing director of Deva the UK's best know brassware distributor, and fellow board members joined the entire Deva staff for a weekend break in Blackpool.
Some 200 adults and 50 children travelled in a cavalcade of four coaches and cars to Blackpool's Cliffs Hotel on a free fun weekend organised as a 'thank you' to the staff for breaking the January monthly target figure of £1.5 million.
The total figure eventually amounted to a whopping £1.8 million, smashing all previous records.
All staff members, even those who have joined the company since January, were invited on the Blackpool pouting.
Peter Geoghegan said: "We wanted to do something as a reward to everyone in the company and since Deva is based in Leigh in Lancashire, what could be better than the traditional family weekend in Blackpool?
"We have a great team spirit at Deva and I am sure the bonding will be even closer after our partying trip away together."
Deva has doubled its turnover every two years since the company's formation 10 years ago.
