ACCRINGTON'S annual Sound festival celebrates its tenth anniversary on Sunday. And having been brought forward from its usual date in August -- to fit into the Jubilee celebrations --this weekend's event is being billed as the People's Festival.
Taking place as always in Oakhill Park, the emphasis in this year's line-up is very much on showcasing the best of the area's new talent.
Headlinders Eso-es are joined by local bands Spitfire, Slutcher, Maupa (pictured), Eliezium, Celtic Cross and Pretend Girlfriend.
Serving up a mix of live bands and DJs, the Court Zone situaed on the park's tennis courts also has plenty to offer.
The Number Nine Crew, who'll be keeping the turntables spinning, will be appearing alongside a host of other DJ's.
Burnley's Merry Men and The World's Strongest Men will help keep the balance with their energetic live performances.
Sunday's free event runs from 12noon to 7pm.
