I'M a big fan of fifties, sixties and seventies music, I have a penchant for brass, like opera and some classical. I can even stand some of today's din, but I don't like it forced upon me.
It's all well and good that free entertainment is provided in the parks, but does it have to be melodious?
On Sunday there will be "Music in the Park" at Pennington to celebrate the Queen's Golden Jubilee. That's fair enough for the visitors who want to hear brass and jazz, but what about the neighbouring residents who don't?

Call me intolerant, miserable -- or bonkers -- but I'd like to bet I'm not the only one.
It's not fair when people have to leave their own homes and take a trip to find a haven of peace and quiet.
