SO there was a party to celebrate Darwen Tower re-opening after all.

But when was it held? On a Saturday, when a lot of people have the day off work? No!

On a Sunday, when even more people have the day off work? No! It was on a Friday when most people are at work and school. Children were breaking up for half term that day as well.

Wouldn't it have made more sense to have had it the following week so maybe the children could come. Or even on the Bank Holiday Monday or Tuesday so people would have more chance of being there?
