SOFT-hearted Doberman cross Major, whose original owner died, was returned to the RSPCA kennels at Altham... because he was too affectionate.
Major had been in the RSPCA's care since August 2000 but went to a new home earlier this year.
But within days he was back as his new owners said he kept following them around and they couldn't cope.
Major is now seven but still enjoys playing with toys.
He needs a home without young children, preferably with an experienced dog owner.
Animal home manager Jeanette Ainscough said: "He's an absolute love and will play all day."
