DENISE HENDRY may soon be allowed home to spend a short time with her family as she continues to recover from the blood poisoning which threatenend her life.
The 35-year-old wife of former Blackburn Rovers and Scotland star Colin Hendry is out of the Intensive Care Unit at Royal Preston Hospital for the first time since being admitted with septicaemia nearly two months ago.
It is believed she has already had a visit from her favourite hairdresser and a home visit is being planned if her improvement continues.
Colin, 36, said: "Denise is now out of the Intensive Care Unit. She is still undergoing treatment at Royal Preston Hospital and her health is slowly improving.
The mum-of-four was taken to the Royal Preston Hospital on April 12 following an earlier liposuction operation at Broughton Park Private Hospital, Preston.
