PRESTON folk know how to have a good ol' knees-up while cheering on the England sqaud at the same time.
Residents of Kingsway, Ashton, held a street party in honour of the Queen's Golden Jubilee on Saturday June 1 and invited Preston North End mascot Deepdale Duck to join in.
The sun shone as neighbours celebrated together, eating, drinking and being merry.
Meanwhile, Penwortham Primary School, in Crookings Lane, Penwortham, held a magic day on Friday, May 31, for the golden jubilee. Pupils were dressed in regal costumes and showed that they could troop the colour and wave a flag just as good as anyone.
After lunch the youngsters were treated to a box of tricks when they were entertained by a magician.
