AMERICAN and British warplanes coming from an air base in Turkey, bombed targets in Ninevah, according to the latest report in the national press -- one more Iraqi killed and three wounded. This has been going on for 10 years now, day in and day out.
These bombing raids, coupled with sanctions against Iraq, have resulted in some three-quarters of a million Iraqi deaths.
And yet, unbelievably, Britain and the USA are arguing that they will go to war again against Iraq, under the pretext of getting rid of alleged "weapons of mass destruction being built by the Iraqi government."
The only actual and hard evidence has been produced by the head of the UN arms inspection body, which said that Iraq's military capability had been destroyed to the level of 95 per cent by 1998.
Iraq is in need of water, electricity and medical supplies and much more. It doesn't need war.
