A BURY firm is toasting an award-winning heating contract.
David Johnson of Johnson's Gas Services has scooped a national Environment 2010 Award for Excellence from leading boiler company Worcester Bosch.
He struck lucky when a customer at his Parkhills Gas Shop needed a new boiler for his 1930s semi. He supplied a Worcester "condensing combi" type of boiler.
The project was entered into the Worcester Bosch Environment 2010 Awards scheme and has been announced as the latest winner in the installation category.
David's eco-friendly thinking wins a year's family membership to the National Trust, plus a week's holiday in a National Trust cottage.
Johnson's Gas Services goes through to the annual finals of the Awards, with the chance of winning a holiday in the USA presented by environmentalist Dr David Bellamy.
"This win came out of the blue," said David. "We always try to recommend higher efficiency boilers to our customers, so it's great to know our efforts are appreciated."
