IT'S flippers at the ready for brave mum Caroline Patten who is all set to swim in shark-infested waters for charity.
The mother-of-four, of Bradshaw Avenue, Whitefield is all set to take the plunge on June 27 with her favourite fish to try and raise funds for the Children's Hospital Appeals Trust (CHAT).
But while Caroline says she "can't wait" to get wet with the creatures she still needs to drum up some support from sponsors.
She said: "This is a once in a lifetime experience for me as I absolutely adore sharks, even though they are commonly perceived as dangerous or fierce. But the reason I am doing this is far more important."
Caroline decided to take up the challenge from CHAT, at the Blue Planet Aquarium at Cheshire Oaks, after her young son, Connor had to go into hospital.
She said: "He only needed treatment for minor ailments but you never know when your child or grandchild might need to go in hospital or need medical help. The swim is all for charity and it will help children in the long run."
Anyone wishing to sponsor Caroline, no matter how small the donation, can contact her on 796 7161.
