14:20: The Irish are just running down the clock and are looking forward to the second round.

14:15: GOAL Ire. 3-0 S.Arabia. Duff gets the goal he deserves as a cracking shot slips through the hands of the Saudi keeper and the Irish are home and dry.
14:11: Inside the last ten minutes and McAteer is seeing plenty of the ball down the right but his final ball hasn't found the mark. Score from the other game Cam. 0-2 Ger.
14:08: McAteer is on for Gary Kelly and he will sit on the right wing.

14:05: With 14 mins to go Ire. 2-0 S.Arabia. Ireland have the goals they need and Duff again gets down the left wing but his cross is picked off the front post.
13:59: Quinn is causing some problems in the box from the occasional free-kick the Irish are winning, but the ball hasn't sat easily and he's sent his shots over the bar.
13:50: GOAL - Ire. 2-0 S.Arabia. Gary Breen gets onto a free-kick with little marking in the Saudi box, and puts the Irish two goals up, the score they need.
13:47: Since bringing Quinn on the Irish have not been abe to get down the wings consistently to supply any telling crosses onto the head of the Sunderland forward.
13:44: Ten minutes into the second half and Keane's goal seperates the sides as it stands Ireland and Germany would go through to the second round.
13:42: Duff again gets away down the left but his pull back to Keane is scuffed by Keane. Score from the other game Cam. 0-1 Ger.
13:37: Keane gets hold of the ball on the edge of the box but his turn and shot sees the ball slide past the Saudi keeper's post.
13:35: Ireland need to get Duff on the ball more, as he is scaring the Saudi defence and has the legs on the them.
13:32: Niall Quinn ha been brought on in place of Ian Harte at the start of the second half.
13:19: The half-time whistle has blown and Ireland lead 1-0 over Saudi Arabia, the scond goal the Irish need has yet to come.
Keane cracked home a Matty Holland cross from close to the penalty spot after six minutes, but Saudi Arabia have had the chances to equalise keeping Given busy in the Irish goal.
13:15: In the other game the Germans are down to ten men against Cameroon.
13:14: Ire. 1-0 S.Arabia. The last two minutes of the half and the Irish have lost their way a little as the half has gone on - McCarthy will be happy to get them in to settle nerves and focus minds.
13:12: A good save by Given as the Saudis break down the left wing keeps the Irish a goal ahead.
13:10: A shot from 25 yards out by Al-Jaber flies past the right hand post of Given, the Saudis are determined to put up a fight.
13:08: Saudi Arabia are enjoying their best period of the game, with a neat piece of trickery on the edge of the box by Al-Yami being cleared by the Irish defence.
13:05: With ten minutes to go of the first half Ireland have a priceless one goal lead, scored by Robbie Keane.
13:01: 30 mins. A corner for Ireland is sent over by Staunton to the back post but Gary Breen fails to connect and the ball goes out for a throw.
12:58: A hanging cross is just cleared up by Given as Steve Finnan fails to deal with the ball and as a Saudi striker pokes a toe past the defender.
12:55: Ireland are having to defend against a couple of corners but the ball is eventually cleared after a foul on Robbie Keane.
12:54: The rain is pouring down on the two teams in the 70,000 seater Yokohama stadium.
12:52: A long range shot from a Saudi midfielder is collected under his bar by Irsh keeper Given.
12:50: Twenty minutes gone, Ire. 1-0 S.Arabia. Robbie Keane's early strike gave the Irish the start they wanted but it's vital they get another to ease themselves into the second round.
12:46: Duff has sent over a couple of telling crosses, the last of which was fumbled by the Saudi keeper but collected at the second attempt.
12:45: Ireland are looking composed on the ball with Duff causing havoc down the left wing.

12:36: Kilbane breaks into the box put the Saudi's smuggle the ball away for a corner.
12:36: Five minutes gone and neither side has had a clear shot on goal.
12:34: Robbie Keane gets a shot away but it hits a Saudi defender and the ball is cleared into the Irish half.
