MICHAEL Schumacher didn't have a hope when the Pendleton staged its own grand prix.
The event for home-made trolley carts around the village brook was watched by hundreds, including Ribble Valley Mayor Coun Joyce Holgate.
Winners were the Gornall-Atkinson team, of Mearley, followed by Dennis, Thomas and James Craven, of Barrow, with third place going to Gez, Alison and Christopher Sumner, of Pendleton. The prize for best theme went to the Mad Cows.
