PATRIOTIC workers at a Blackburn factory are flying the flag as high as they can for England.
Steeplejacks Mark and John Warburton took the Cross of St George to the top of the 150 feet chimney stack at Blackburn Corrugated Paper in Boyle Street before Friday's 1-0 win over Argentina.
And it will stay there until the routine maintenance work is completed in two weeks time -- or if England are defeated.
Brian Jones, managing director, said: "We are very patriotic and proud of England. The workers came in early on Friday so they could finish in time for the match and they will be watching the Nigeria game on TV tomorrow."
