A 39-ACRE site at Newton in Nottinghamshire will see the construction of accommodation for 750 asylum seekers and more will be created at other sites in Worcestershire and Oxfordshire.
The facility at Newton has a central gone, a civic zone, a community zone, a welfare zone, a sports and recreation gone and a residential zone. Medical and educational facilities will also be provided.
Other facilities will include legal advice, a library, photo-copying, public telephones and careers advice. Bus transport for asylum seekers will be provided.
I just throught that this would provide interesting reading for the inmates of the 35 care homes in Lancashire that will be closed for the sake of £14million.
Sorry, old lads and lassies, you're in the wrong places at the wrong time! Perhaps these inmates could be re-termed as asylum seekers.
