ONCE again British and American diplomats are on their way to south Asia to save the world from the potential nuclear fall-out over Kashmir.
During the Kargil conflict in 1999, both sides were saved by the intervention from the Clinton administration. Then everybody walked away.
How many times are the British and Americans going to save India/Pakistan from the madness of war over Kashmir?
Once the bellicose situation is over, Britain and its allies need to tackle the root cause. The Kashmiris, who are the indigenous people of Kashmir, want to live as free men with dignity. Time has now come to make Kashmir a bridge of peace and friendship in south Asia.
Both India and Pakistan should withdraw from Kashmir and the Kashmir people given a chance to shape their own destiny. Self-determination and independence of the Kashmir nation is the only solution.
We British Kashmiris are concerned for our relatives and loved ones who are in the crossfire in our homeland.
