A RETIRED business professor has received a special award for excellence from a leading academic publisher.
Professor Brian Kenny, from Burnley, received the award from the Bradford based MCB University Press - now trading as Emerald Journals for his paper entitled 'Appraisal and Learning in a Government Agency'.
During the special ceremony held at Lords Cricket Ground the publishers singled out Professor Kenny's paper for its benefit to the reader and the way he presented his concepts and data.
The award, known as the Literati Award is not the only distinction given to Professor Kenny, for he was honoured with the conferment of an Emiritus Professorship upon his retirement from the University of Huddersfield last year.
Professor Kenny had lectured at the University of Huddersfield for 24 years in the area of business and management, and through the conferment of the Emiritus Professorship he retains his professorship.
He also continues to provide input into the University of Huddersfield Business School, as well as continuing to contribute to academic journals.
