ROVERS boss Graeme Souness is kick-starting a campaign to help people who have heart conditions.
Souness, who had a triple heart-bypass in 1992 while he was manager of Liverpool, is launching a special healthcare leaflet which will be made available at hospitals.
They are being released in support of British Heart Week and are funded by the Merseyside Health Action Zone.
Souness has been chosen as the figurehead as he has shown that people who have heart problems can go on to lead a relatively normal life.
Since his problems, Souness has managed five clubs, including Rovers, which has seen him enter high pressure jobs at Galatasary and Benfica.
And last year he led Rovers to their first cup triumph since 1928 and a top ten Premiership finish in the club's first year back in the top league.
