THROUGHOUT the summer I will be covering Cricket from a different perspective than the previous two cricketers in this column.
I will be coaching the Church Cricket Club Under 15 team in a bid to bring through a good crop of youngsters at our disposal at Church.
It is a long term plan of mine to provide our junior section with a feast of modern and up-to-date drills and coaching methods which hopefully will help them develop into good senior Lancashire League Cricketers in the future.
My captain for this year is Sam Holt who already has the credentials to be a top Lancashire League cricketer in the future.
He already has a 50 under his belt from an early season friendly at Longridge.
Unfortunately due to some adverse weather conditions we have already had three games and three training sessions called off.
I hope to provide you with the results, scorecards and match analysis from our games throughout the season.
I also will be giving an insight to some of our characters and the progress made by our Under 15s who incidentally range from 10 to 15 years old, with only two or three players actually being 15.
