CHORISTERS of St Mary's Hall, Stonyhurst, will launch their latest CD, Choral Classics, on tomorrow night, the peak of fundraising to pay for new choir robes.
Over the past weeks and months, staff, parents and boys at St Mary's Hall, the prep school for Stonyhurst College, have been working hard to raise money to replace the robes.
The gowns have been bought and the boys will wear them for the first time next Wednesday during Evensong at Ripon Cathedral.
More than 80 guests will hear the boys sing several items at the event being held at Sagar Fold, in the Ribble Valley.
Musicians from Stonyhurst College and St Mary's will also provide entertainment and food will be prepared by Northcote Manor, whose joint owner, Craig Bancroft, is the father of one of the choristers.
Vincent Conyngham, Head of Music at St Mary's Hall, said: "It promises to be a super evening . It is fitting that the robes will be worn for the first time at historic Ripon Castle".
