LEIGH Harriers were in good form at the Chorley Four Mile road race.
Phil Foster brought the men's senior team into fourth place, recording an excellent time of 21.22 in 14th place overall.
Andy Arnold was the team's second counter in 23.52 and Sam Cooke third U17 in 24.03.
In the ladies race, Anne Powell was in impressive form, finishing in third place in 22.43 to lead the Leigh team to second place. Adele Swanton won the ladies U17s prize for the second time in 27.04. Lizzy Heaton (28.21) and Amanda Fearnley (28.21) were the team's other counters.
Eileen Castledine was third O45 in a time of 30.02.
Phil Foster ran the fastest time of the season for Leigh in the Chester half marathon. He finished 11th from a field of over 1500 in a time of 1-14-0.
In the Manchester Road Race Grand Prix, the Leigh girls were in cracking form. Gema Farley was second in the U15s 3000m race while in the U17s Adele Swanton was second, Lizzy Heaton third and Amanda Fernley fourth.
