THE search is on to find the next Jamie Oliver or Delia Smith.
The first Leigh Rotary and Leigh EAZ Annual Cookery Competition will be staged as part of the June Learning Festival and will feature student chefs at two Zone schools - Westleigh High plus Kingshill Special School in Tyldesley.
In their respective schools, they will be asked to prepare, cook and serve a sumptuous four-course meal at a cost of just £8 and all within the space of one frenetic hour.
The top chefs from each school will then repeat the menu in a grand finale to be held at Wigan & Leigh College's Ruskin Suite on Railway Road on June 21 (1-2.30pm), this time under the scrutiny of EAZ judges including Ray Gee, Head Chef at the college.
Photographers & Reporters are welcome to join us at Wigan & Leigh College's Ruskin Suite on Friday, June 21 (1-2.30pm)
