READER Christine O'Neill has come up with a brilliant idea -- if it could be made to work.
It involves the ancient practise of bartering.
She tells me she urgently needs some maintenance work done at her "humble abode" but like many people is sadly lacking in funds to pay professional prices.
She asks if I've come across any groups of people who use each others skills while on my travels.
Well I haven't yet, but why hasn't anyone thought of setting up a swap shop of talent? If they have let me know.
Christine is willing to offer her skills in baby sitting, housework, and ironing in exchange for some DIY.
I like it.
Perhaps someone could come and find the leak in my roof in return for me knitting them a sweater!
Seriously, if anyone can help they can contact Christine through me.
