WALSHAW dished out a 129-run thrashing to leapfrog Golborne and move to the top of the table.
Professional Jon Fielding played one of his best Walshaw innings by scoring a wonderful 92 on a difficult wicket.
He was ably backed up by several other batsmen, who all contributed to an excellent score of 199-9 after the allotted 48 overs.
Only Golborne's Graham Marston, who hit 20 runs, had any answer to the accurate home bowling, who blew them away in less than 30 overs for just 70 runs. All four bowlers took wickets, with Fielding again shining with four wickets for just eight runs.
Elton denied Clifton the chance to go top as they hung on for a draw.
Chasing 152-7, Elton never looked like winning despite a late flurry of runs which saw them finish on 133-9. Reid and Lomax were equal top scorers on 24.
Clifton pro Dave Parkinson did his best with 4-34 after top scoring with 46, while Dave Wild was unbeaten on 30.
IN the Bolton Association, Greenmount crashed to an eight-wicket defeat at home to Tonge.
Pro Adil Nasir was the visistors' star, hitting 70 and taking 4-53, while Ian Taylor's 6-32 led to Greenmount being dismissed for 131.
Nisar and Rick Northrop, 33 nout out, then put on another century opening partnership, Tonge finishing on 134-2.
