A SUPPORT centre which caters for a number of Bury families has received a £1,000 boost from the town's Yorkshire Building Society branch.
The cash to Talbot House Support Centre has come courtesy of the Society's Charitable Foundation.
Talbot House was set up, run by and for the benefit of parents of children or adults with special educational needs and physical disabilities and provides a place where the whole family can receive support, advice and friendship.
Staff at the Society's Bury branch nominated the Manchester-based charity to receive help from the Charitable Foundation, in addition to funds raised by them in an Easter theme competition.
The £1,000 will be used to purchase office equipment and other essential items for the centre.
Clare Ashworth, Yorkshire Building Society manager, said: "We were delighted to nominate this charity from our local area.
"The support and care this charity provides make all the difference to children, adults and families alike.
"We are extremely pleased that the Foundation boosted our fundraising efforts and hope that our donation will help make a real difference to everyone who attends the centre."
