A PREGNANT teenager who disappeared from her home in Nelson more than a week ago has been found safe and well.
The mother of 17-year-old Louise Anne Livesey made an emotional appeal in Tuesday's Lancashire Evening Telegraph for their daughter to come home after she disappeared from her home in Tavistock Street.
Michelle Livesey said she was concerned about her safety and that of her unborn baby because she had been showing signs of depression.
Police confirmed they had managed to track down Louise, who is four months pregnant, and that she was not in the local area.
Inspector Paul Robinson, of Nelson Police, said: "Police officers have seen her but not locally. She is 17 years old and does not want people to know where she is so we have to respect that.
"But we do know where she is and that she is safe and well."
Louise had turned up briefly at a police station in the Longsight area of Manchester, where she has relatives, last week, and said she was going to make her way home.
