MYERSCOUGH College is to start a new two-year foundation degree in Sportsturf Science and Golf Course Management in September.
Building on the success of its well-established Higher National Diploma, the sportsturf department at Myerscough will offer the Foundation Degree from September.
The qualification is targeted at students seeking to develop operational, technical and management careers in sportsturf.
Colin Stanfield, sportsturf programme leader at Myerscough said: "We are proud of our provision for sportsturf and our students are provided with wonderful facilities.
"A new two hectare sportsturf trial site is under development which will allow our students to benefit from hands on experimental and research work in close collaboration with the industry."
