14:47: The cross hits the wall and is cleared by Ireland.

14:45: A long ball to Quinn is knocked down to Keane who shots three yards wide.

14:44: A corner comes over and the keeper gets a punch on the ball.

14:44: Again Ireland are forcing the pace with a Keane shot deflected for a corner.

14:36: Ireland are the only team with any width and are forcing the pace.

14:35: Duff again causes the Spanish problems and the ball is cleared but collected by Matty Holland to keep the Irish momentum strong.

14:34: The ball is cleared but only to the Irish defence who send it back in a Gary Breen gets on a hanging ballthat doesn't come down quick enough and the keeper collects.

14:33: Kilbane and Keane work a cross down the left wing that goes out for a corner.

14:31: The game is swinging from one end to the other, and Duff again gets past his defender but Keane can't get a clear shot on goal.

14:30: Mendieta breaks down the left but the cross is knocked away for a corner that is eventually cleared and the Irish begin another attack.

14:29: Ireland are sending the ball long onto Quinn's head aiming for a flick-on.

14:27: A free kick for Spain is sent into the box and cleared and the pressure is off the Irish.

14:25: Extra-time begins with the Irish spirit flying high, if Duff can see more of the ball he has a real opportunity to get in past the Spanish defence.

14:22: Ireland have four attack minded players on the pitch, whilst Spain hoping to defend their lead have taken Raul and Morientes off.

14:20: The game goes into extra-time.

14:18: Duff again slices through and his shot on target, is deflected wide for a corner.

14:17: Keane strolls up and slams the ball home, only a minute to go. The game could go into extra-time and golden goal rules.

14:16: GOAL. Spa. 1-1 Ire.

14:16: Ireland have won a second penalty for holding in the box.

14:14: Three minutes to go.

14:13: In the last five minutes and Ireland need to get he ball out to Duff more as he has shown some great touches.

14:12: Quinn gets flick-on to Keane who tries to poke the ball past the Spanish keeper but Casillas gets a challenge in and they both end up flat out in the box.

14:10: With just seven minutes to go it needs a bit of magic from the Irish to get themselves back into the game.

14:08: Connolly is on for Harte to play upfront and put three at the back.

14:07: Raul is off replaced by the Spanish striker Luque.

14:06: Duff ghosts past three defenders and gets a shot in that slips inches past the post.

14:05: Harte lined it up and sends a shot in on target that hits Keane and is deflected over the bar.

14:04: Free kick for Ireland 30 yards out.

14:02: Finnan and Duff are trying to get forward more down the right and the Irish need to do more of this with fifteen minutes to go.

14:00: The Spanish substitute sees Raul playing up front on his own with 18 minutes to go.

13:59: Given saves with his feet as Raul gets through the defence and clears the ball out of the Irish box.

13:58: Spains's Albelda comes on for Morientes.

13:56: A free kick on the left doesn't reach anyone in the box.

13:56: Raul is again pulled up for off-side as he collects a pass in the middle of the box and sends it past Given, Ireland are playing a risky game.

13:55: Mendieta gets away down the left and his cross flies across and is just missed by Morientes.

13:52: De Pedro is off to be replaced by Mendieta down the Spanish left.

13:50: Harte's shot is saved and the follow up from Kilbane is missed from six yards out.

13:49: Duff wins a penalty as he breaks into the box.

13:48: Duff gets away down the right but his cross is cut out on the back post as Quinn strained to get in.

13:46: Thirty minutes to go and the balaance is beginning to change as Spain see more of the ball.

13:44: Ten minutes into the second half and Ireland are playing better and looking to spring Keane and Duff off Niall Quinn.

13:41: Quinn has come on for Gary Kelly, Ireland will play with Duff on the wing and Keane partnering the big Sunderland striker upfront.

13:40: Ireland are forcing the pace with some good pocession on the edge of Spains box.

13:40: Niall Quinn is waiting to come on, as a ball is sent into the Spanish box but Keane fails to get on the end of the cross.

13:37: A good chance for Kilbane comes to nothing following a mix up in the box but his shot is cleared off the line by Hierro.

13:36: Ireland have picked up the pace a little, but the first substitution for Ireland sees Staunton come off to be replaced by Cunningham, Staunton took a knock in the first half from which he hasn't recovered.

13:34: Raul sets up Morientes in the middle of the box put Given gets out and stands tall in front of the shot and the ball is cleared.

13:33: There are no substitutions and the ball is played around mid-field.

13:32: No chances at the start of the second half.

13:18: HALF-TIME: Spa. 1-0 Ire. Ireland went behind to a Morientes header after eight minutes and the Irish are struggling to make any headway against a tight, pacy Spanish side.

13:15: Two minutes of stoppage time to be played.

13:13: A difficult bouncing ball is sent through the middle for Keane to get on to but he is beaten by the bounce and it goes over th abr.

13:10: Last five minutes of the first-hlaf and the Irish are playing well but are finding it hard to break through and supply Robbie Keane with a clear chance.

13:08: A long run by Kelly sees a long hanging ball to the back-post that is cleared by Puyol as Kilbane ran in.

13:06: Ireland force two corners in succession but neither really hurt the Spanish defence.

13:03: Duff breaks down the left wing and his ball across is cut out by Hierro with Keane ready to strike.

13:01: 31 mins gone. Spa. 1-0 Ire.

13:00: A swinging cross from Spain is cleared at the back post by a diving Matty Holland.

12:59: Ireland are struggling to get in behind the Spanish defence, Duff has yet to see a great deal of the ball and hurt Spain.

12:55: Spain have a goal disallowed for off-side a neat one-two sees Luis Enrique send a header over Given but the flag goes up.

12:54: Raul has a one-on-one with Staunton who takes the ball off the toes of the talented striker.

12:53: 21 mins have gone and the Irish are a goal behind to a Morientes header, but they have seen plenty of the ball and Keane has had a couple of sights of goal.

12:51: Raul breaks through the middle of the Irish defence but is tracked by Staunton and Given rushes out to clear the ball.

12:50: The Irish are passing the ball well with some quick sharp passing in the middle third.

12:46: The Irish have had a decent start and the goal is the only blot on their copy-book.

12:45: Duff slides the ball back to Kinsella but his shot goes over, and the Irish are looking to get down the wing and get the ball into the box.

12:42: The Spanish goal has settled them and they are passing the ball around their back four confidently.

12:40: Not the start the Irish wanted, with a goal against them after eight minutes, but they have pulled it back in previus games.

12:38: GOAL - Spa. 1-0 Ire. Morientest gets infront of Breen and glances home a header past Given.

12:37: It is a tight and fast game with both teams tackling hard and both sets fo forwards showing some pace.

12:36: Duff wriggles free down the right wing and get a corner, but it is played short and comes to nothing.

12:32: The Irish are carrying the fight to the Spanish, Keane breaks into the box from the left and sends a curling shot to the back-post and it goes a yard wide.

12:30: Ireland kick-off abd get some sharp tackles in in mid-field and get to see plenty of the ball, first kick to Ireland.

12:29: The game is being played in Suwon, South Korea with a temperature in the mid-80's. The stadium is full of Irish supporters, it's like a home game for the Republic.

12:26: A game that will see Blackburn winger Damien Duff partner Robbie Keane upfront, a match that will be a real test for the Irish, but also the toughest game that Spain have faced in this tournament so far.
