CUDDLY mascot Brewster the Bear helped two Burnley pubs to set a new world record.
Brewster, who is a familiar face at the Gamecock and Queen Victoria, teamed up with Lofty the lion, Scunny Bunny and Ozzie Owl for the "the most mascots in the same place at the same time" competition.
They were joined by more than 50 mascots across the UK at a day-long event at the Reebok Stadium, Bolton.
The Mascot Mania event has been the first world record attempt of its kind and ,as well as setting a world record, raised money for the Christie Hospital, Manchester and Bolton Hospice.
The eventbegan with an all-mascot five-a-side football match, with Brewster the Bear making some excellent saves as the goalie with his large furry paws and taking his team to victory.
Stuart Crolla, general manager of Brewsters Gamecock said: " It's excellent news that our very own Brewster the Bear helped set this new world record.
"Brewster is popular with children and families across the UK, so it was only natural he got involved with this event raising money for two very worthwhile causes."
The mascots cheered on the teams in the children's five-a-side football match and joined in with the other activities on the day, that included wacky races.
