A FOOTBALL fan from Nelson went one step further in his support of the England team by having part of his chest transformed into the cross of St George.
Jack McGuire, of Hibson Road, had seen photographs of other customers with their heads shaved in the shape of the England flag in the window of Rio's hairdressers in Nelson and decided to go one better.
He had his chest shaved and died red and white in the shape of the St George's flag before England's match against Denmark on Saturday.
Veronica Kirk, owner of Rio's, said: "We have had a lot of people coming in to have their heads done but not their chests. We had to shave it a bit first and then bleached it.
"He loved it and went out on Saturday night without his shirt to show it off."
