LEIGH powerlifter Mark Woodcock will fly the flag for Britain after being selected for the British team that will compete in next month's European Union Cup in Holland.
But before that Mark, of Peregrine Drive, will be aiming for a medal in the British championships in Birmingham on June 29. He finished third last year.
Mark has been competing for 15 years and for the past eight years has been unbeaten in the north west. He won the NW Counties championship last November and holds regional records with a 252.2kg squat and a deadlift of 247.5kg.
