BUDDING decorators are being given the chance to change their rooms and their lives.
Wigan and Leigh College wants new students to enrol on interior decorating courses.
A spokesman said: "With a bit of tuition anyone could have Lawrence Llewelyn Bowen's artistic flair or Handy Andy's DIY skills."
Courses at the Pagefield Building teach the decorating effects such as rag rolling, stencilling and colour washing.
For three mums with young children completing the first year of a two year City and Guilds the course could bring new careers.
Clare Cartmel, who has a degree in criminal psychology, eventually hopes to start her own business specialising in decorating children's rooms.
Former air stewardess Vicky Melling is working towards starting her own business, while Julie de Borde will be looking for a job with an interior design magazine.
Classes are within school hours on a full or part-time basis or can be during the day or evening.
Range of work
A range of work produced by this year's students will be shown in the Pagefield conference centre at Wigan Campus on June 18 -20, on Tuesday between 6-8.30pm, Wednesday 9.30am to 8.30pm and Thursday 9.30am to 3.30pm.
