INTERNATIONAL football might be the flavour of the month, but Blackburn brewers Daniel Thwaites are enjoying global success of their own.
The company is toasting an impressive haul of medals - two gold and two silver - at the prestigious World Selection 2002.
Thwaites' products were submitted to the organising committee at Monde Selection, which is based In Brussels, and subjected to stringent testing and analysis.
The adjudicating panel bestowed success on the East Lancashire brewers.
Thwaites Draught Bitter and Lancashire Brown Ale clinched gold medals.
Silvers were awarded to Stein Pilsner Lager and Thwaites Draught Mild Beer. The awards will be made at the official closing ceremony of World Selection 2002 in Paris later this month.
