MANSFIELD High School's Year Seven cricket team have made an excellent start to the season.
The team are through to the Pendle Schools' Cup Final where they are due to play Edge End High School.
The Year Seven team have also made it through to round four of the prestigious Lancashire Schools' under 12 competition.
Throughout the season there have been several oustanding performances with Irfan Afzal taking a hat trick during a recent game against Walton High School.
Coach Rob Holmes said: "They have had a fantastic start to the season.
"Irfan Afzal took three wickets in three balls against Walton and the whole team deserve some recognition."
