TWELVE students joined Go-Shin's black belt ranks at the Go-Shin Kempo Ju-Jitsu Association.
The gradings took all day to complete at the Primetime Centre, Rishton. All train at the masters class run by Martin Dixon, seventh Dan at Hyndburn Sports Centre. They have trained for many years to achieve their gradings.
Various skills are tested according to the degree of black belt taken, including ju-jitsu throws, holds and locks, use of various weapons, Kata (movements done in sequence against imaginary opponents) and human anatomy knowledge.
